If the Board Assessment Review grants you a reduction, expect to see your new lower assessment on your December tax bill.
If your Property Tax Grievance is denied, and we believe we can still win you a reduction, we will file an appeal on your behalf. The Critical Dates for the Appeal Process are:

Nassau: If your case goes to Appeal, the reduced amount will be reflected on your tax bill.
Suffolk: If your case goes to Appeal and we successfully win a reduction for you after the beginning of the tax year: Your 2nd half tax bill will be revised to reflect your new assessment, AND credit you with the overpayment you made on the 1st half bill OR A refund check will be issued if your taxes are paid in full.
